On this tour our guide will take you by the hand on an amazing walkthrough the center of Naples stopping at many food delis and restaurants and visiting monuments and artworks between them. You will see Spaccanapoli and Piazza del Gesù just after having tried some of the best dishes of the Neapolitan cuisine. The most interesting spots are hidden around hundreds of little corners and narrow alleyways.
The promenade will start from the old city center, you will see Piazza Bellini and walk through Via dei Tribunali, where we will taste the original Pizza Margherita invented here in 1889 when King Umberto I and Queen Margherita came to the city. Our tour continues to the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella, Piazza San Gaetano and the two beautiful Basilicas of Saint Paul and Saint Lorenz. We will stroll down the colorful streets of San Gregorio Armeno and San Biagio dei Librai flanked by hundreds of small artisans shops some of them selling Nativity figurines for Christmas. Our food adventure goes on tasting traditional Mozzarella follow by typical Italian starters, local main courses such as Ragù paired with local wine, sea food, pastries and much more.
This tour ends at the grandest monumental square of Naples, Piazza Plebiscito. Here we will see the San Carlo theatre, Galleria Umberto I and the Royal Palace. In the surrounding alleyways we will sample typical cakes such as Sfogliatelle & Babà! Our food walk substitutes your dinner, so please do not eat before it.
